Welcome back! It's been great to see so many of you, I hope you have enjoyed walking the fairways in the sun - long may it continue. I'm sure you'll all agree the course is playing beautifully, Dale and the team are doing a fantastic job with limited staff. Just a quick reminder that now is the time to make sure your clubs are in order as we enter the summer season. Fingers crossed, some competitive golf may not be too far away and as we know golf is hard, don't make it even harder – be prepared! If your grips are worn and shiny get them changed. Grips that go slippy usually result in added grip pressure as you're trying not to let go of the club. This added pressure results in tension and effects your swing and contact. Grips start from as little as £4. Also, loft and lie angles. Over time your loft and lie angles on your clubs can change, your clubs repeatedly hit the ground and over time they can alter slightly, particulary if you hit a number of balls off mats. Or did you even have your clubs fitted when you bought them to make sure you have the correct set-up? It is also possible that your swing may have changed and your lie angles may need adjusting too. As touched on in previous newsletters, clubs too upright the ball will go left, clubs too flat the ball will go right.
We can check what lie angles you need at the pro shop in as little as 10 minutes, if they don't need adjusting we'll simply send you on your way. If they do need adjusting we'll do the full set for £30. Pop in and see us and we'll give your clubs an MOT! Enjoy this week's read...
