The Callaway fitting event last week was a huge success, thank you to everyone that attended. I'm pleased we could improve so many players numbers just by tweaking some equipment. Those of you that missed out on the fitting day, we have both Mavrik woods and irons available to demo out on the golf course - or you can get fit in our TrackMan Studio.

With the launch of the new TaylorMade P700 series in September, I thought it would be a good time to get another demo day straight in the diary. I had to pester my rep a little for this one as it's very difficult to get a fitting date so close to the launch of new equipment, but they're coming! The fitting date is on Friday 18th September, there are only a few spaces remaining so get in touch ASAP if you want to book in. Stuart from TaylorMade will be bringing every head and shaft combination thinkable!

Club news

Competition Update

Congratulations to all those players that finished top 50 in round one of the Nett Championship last Saturday. There were some great scores and with 18 holes still to go, it's still all to play for. Jake Williams leads the way after a nett 65, junior Mackenzie Morton is only two behind and there is a trio of golfers three behind. The form Jake is in he will have one eye on the Club Championship too!

Both Matt and I have had numerous discussions on who we fancy for the Club Championship, we can't make our mind up... It's wide open!

We're in for a great weekend of golf, show your support and stay for a drink and watch the winners lift their trophies.

It's about to get interesting

The Northern Trust begins this week, marking the start of the FedEx Cup playoffs on the PGA Tour. The event, held at TPC Boston, will be followed by the BMW Championship before culminating in Atlanta at The Tour Championship. It’s a hell of a payday for the winner ($15 million), as well as a lot of prestige; joining a list of golf’s modern greats.

Justin Thomas has already wrapped-up the $2 million Wyndham Rewards prize for the best regular-season player, with PGA Championship winner Collin Morikawa finishing second. Thomas will be hoping to join Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods as the only players to win the FedEx Cup multiple times (both have won it twice), but it won’t be easy.

It's great to see

Golf is going through a great period at the moment with lots of people taking the chance to play. One thing you'll notice is the number of golfers using an electric trolley to carry their clubs around the course, so we thought we'd highlight a couple of our favourites in this week's email.
